Solarpunk Reading Group | Sept 18, 2:30-3:30, Grad House

Dear colleagues,

You are warmly invited to join the fall reading group hosted by the Waterloo Initiative for Solarpunk and Hope<https://www.waterloosolarpunks.ca/>. This semester we will explore solarpunk's connections with other futurisms and social justice movements.

Our first meeting is on September 18 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at The Grad House. We will use Mari Kurisato's short story "Seed Children<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iMTG4zMdK6gDduQ5mREn8Phe_4obFyCe/view?usp=sharing>" as an entry point to discuss anti-natalism and solarpunk futures. Kurisato's story is published in Love after the End: an Anthology of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Speculative Fiction, edited by Joshua Whitehead (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2020).
