"Times New Roman","serif"'>Matthew Jocelyn</span></b><span lang=EN-US
style='font-size:15.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'> is Artistic
& General Director of Canadian Stage. A native Torontonian, Jocelyn spent
the bulk of his career in Europe working extensively as an arts administrator,
educator, translator, producer and director of theatre and opera. Prior to his
appointment at Canadian Stage, Jocelyn was the Artistic & General Director
of the Atelier du Rhin in Alsace, France for 10 years. He was responsible for
establishing the organization as a major centre for multi-disciplinary arts. As
a result of his accomplishments, he was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres
(Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by France’s Ministry of Culture
in July 2008, one of the country’s most prestigious arts honours.
Jocelyn continues to direct productions abroad, and will make his
Canadian Stage debut as translator and director of the first production in the
2010-2011 Season, <i>Fernando Krapp Wrote Me This Lette<b>r</b></i>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
