Dear Colleagues,

I am emailing to let you know about an upcoming community event that may be of interest to you. In response to the considerable political and media attention that is being paid to international abortion issues in the lead-up to the G8/G20 meeting, Planned Parenthood of Waterloo Region (PPWR) will be screening two acclaimed international films about abortion this Monday, May 31 at the Princess Twin Cinema. The evening will begin at 6:30 with the screening of the Ethiopian short film Not Yet Rain (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1355637/), followed by the feature film, Romania's 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1032846/). The films will be introduced by PPWR Executive Director (and UW Arts alumna) Angela Murie (UW Hons. English, 1989). Tickets are available at the door by cash or cheque for $15 ($10 for the underemployed). Doors open at 6 p.m. All proceeds go to support PPWR.
