2010 to discuss his organization Zatoun,as well as his experiences in working
towards peace in the Middle East. This event will take place from
2:00-3:30 in RCH 105 and will be open to all University of Waterloo Students,
as well as the wider community. Please join us to learn more about this
innovative organization and sample some of its fair trade olive oil. Zatoun

is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers, that sells fair trade
Palestinian olive oil. T<span style='color:#333333'>he proceeds from all
sales are used to directly benefit Palestinian farmers and children living in
occupied Palestine and to create awareness for peace in the region.
Zatoun ensures that Palestinian farmers receive fair trade prices, and
one dollar from each bottle goes to support charities that promote</span><span
style='color:black'> humanitarian, education, culture and peace links with
Palestine, especially as they may relate to Palestinian children. An
additional amount goes to replant olive trees inside Palestine which have been
destroyed by the occupation.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
