Dear Colleagues,<br><br>This is a reminder that this Monday, March 8, Planned Parenthood Waterloo Region
(PPWR) will present a screening of <i>Offside</i>, the acclaimed
Iranian film by Jafar Panahi about young girls prohibited from attending a World
Cup soccer match, but determined to do so (<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499537/" target="_blank">http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499537/</a>). This film is timely,
and is appropriate for the whole family. The film will be introduced by
<b>Dr. Alice Kuzniar, from UW's Department of Germanic and Slavic
Languages and Literatures</b>. The event will occur at the Princess Twin
Cinema, 46 King St. N., Waterloo, starting at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are
$15 each (or $20, with popcorn and a pop included). Proceeds from the
event go to support PPWR's Women's Health 101 program for newcomer
women from war-torn countries. <br><br>You can purchase tickets by cash or cheque by phoning 519-743-9360, or you can purchase
them online at Canada Helps using a credit card. Simply make a
"donation" to PPWR in the appropriate amount and indicate in the message box
that your donation should be directed toward tickets to the show.
