Anthropology is proud to present Dr. Sian Evans, our second guest lecturer in this
year’s Public Lecture series. Her lecture is entitled “<i>Anthropoid
Adventure: A Journey Establishing a Primate Conservancy</i>”. <o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:none'><b><o:p> </o:p></b></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:none'><b>Dr. Evans, who is a specialist
in New World Monkeys, was fundamental in establishing the DuMond Conservancy at
Monkey Jungle in Miami, Florida. She will be discussing her experiences
in setting up a non-profit educational and research-based organization for the
study of primates. This talk will interest anthropologists, biologists,
environmentalists, and those who may wish to establish a non-profit research
organization.<o:p></o:p></b></p>
