Cimolino began his career as an actor playing principal roles in Shakespeare's
plays at the Stratford Festival and across Canada. As a director, he has
collaborated with such actors as Colm Feore, Martha Henry, Brian Bedford, and
William Hutt in productions of <i>Coriolanus</i>, <i>Love's Labours Lost</i>, <i>Twelfth
Night,</i> and others. He was the recipient of two Best Director Awards for his
1998 production of <i>Twelfth Night</i>. As General Director of the Stratford
Shakespeare Festival, he oversees the entire operation of the Festival's annual
season of up to 16 plays, over 1000 employees, and its $60 million operating
budget. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Ontario Tourism Marketing
Partnership Board, and as Vice-President External and Chair of the Advocacy
Committee for the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres. He still finds
time to direct - this season, his production of <i>Bartholomew Fair</i> has
been a critical and popular success. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
