Berlin Wall - Icons of a Border Installation

On November 9, 2009 Germany will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the
fall of the Berlin Wall. The Goethe-Institute uses this occasion to
bring the photo exhibition Icons of a Border Installation to Canada and
will present it at nine locations.
<br>
<br>
A group of students from the University of Paderborn in Germany under
the direction of Prof. Barbara Becker and the photographer Jürgen
Spiler went to Berlin and searched for traces of the Berlin Wall.

The exhibition at the University of Waterloo has been organized by the
Waterloo Centre for German Studies and the Department of Germanic and
Slavic Studies. It is shown in <b>Modern Languages Gallery</b> - the
foyer of the Theatre of the Arts in the Modern Languages Building. The
exhibition is shown from <b>14 September to 2 October 2009</b> and is
open on <b>weekdays between 12.30pm and 4.30pm</b>.<br>
