in relation to objects. A basic problem of daily life, then, is determining who
owns what. This problem would be trivial if ownership were visible. Instead it
is invisible. This talk will review research investigating how young children
(aged two to four) and adult reason about ownership and show that children’s
and adults’ everyday reasoning about ownership is surprisingly consistent with
property law.
