from <st1:country-region w:st="on">Germany</st1:country-region> and <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Austria</st1:place></st1:country-region> won prizes
this past weekend at the German National Film Awards. The festival’s opening
film (this coming Wednesday), <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Edge of Heaven</span></i>,
won awards for best film, best director (Fatih Akin, director of the 2004 hit <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>Head On</span></i>), best screenplay and best
editing. Nina Hoss, star of Saturday’s film <i><span style='font-style:
italic'>Yella</span></i> (and the person featured in the KinoFest advertising)
won for best acting in a female role. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
